If you have any questions about Johnny's or Hey! Say! JUMP in particular, feel free to ask here and any of the members will be able to check in to see if they know the answer to help you out.

However, I would like to point out that checking the tags and the FAQ solves the problem about 90% of the time!! The answers to questions like 'Where can I read their J-web translations?' or 'Where can I download School Kakumei?' are easily found by using the tagging system and just browsing around here a bit. The FAQ handles a variety of things, like how to get tickets for Johnny's concerts, how to send fanletters, and the airing times of the various tv shows featuring JUMP members.

May I remind you that, this is open-member post so any questions that came here can be answered by all members, as long you guys know the actual thing. I'm just posting a thread so we can have a neat and organise website but if I know the answers to your questions, I'm more than happy to reply.

Hence, take a look at the previous masterposts. Maybe your question is already answered there and if not maybe you see a question you know the answer to yourself. It's all about helping each other, right?

I have translated two articles of JUMP.
First is the long interview series in Popolo magazine.
This time is Keito's turn. If you read this, you can feel how hardworker he is.
The envious feeling of him with Yamada, Chinen, and Yuuto.
In the other side, he is still stay as the modest Keito.
Second is Yamada Think Note part. The theme is [Graduation].
Yamada talked about his life in Horikoshi school, the backstage story of Ansatsu shooting.
And his private trip to Fukuoka in new year period.

I'm really happy to know you have grown so much as an entertainment person; idol, actor, model etc. You've learnt a  lot, you've faced so many ups and downs but you wonderfully overcome them. Hi guys, first I wanna apologize about the Maji SUNSHINE's PV Making and the JUMPQ2.
JUMPQ2 is on the final stages of completion at the QC departments *speaking like I own a company. HAHAHA!!*.
But the main problem is, as we are subbing the JUMPQ2, we find it hard to co-op with some new releases.

So we are in desperate needs of some positions in subbing.
You guys can head here to find out what positions are available. Everyone is welcome but our current priorities are Translators and Timers.
We have only 2 Translators at the moment and we are still newbies. So we welcome everyone and anyone who wants to lend a hand.

Thank You for supporting chishii92 and we hope to serve you guys better in the future. :)

Hello everyone~ today I want to tell you about a new app I think you'll all like, if you use amino apps you probably already know about it but today they released an app very different to all their previous ones. Unlike their previous apps the Amino app is home to several communities, led by fans that were chosen through an application procedure. I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of these leaders and the community I'm leading is Jpop Amino!

On Jpop Amino you can make blogs, chats, polls, about Hey! Say! JUMP or any other Jpop group/artist, it's a great way to meet other Jpop fans!

There's already a HSJ chat just waiting for members to join. You can join here, I look forward to hopefully seeing you all there ^^

[ ANNOUNCEMENT ] Looking for new moderators, and an owner.

This is long overdue, and I am sorry to have let hey_say dwindle as much as it did. This community, and its members, deserve more than I can give it.

I lost my interest in Hey Say JUMP as a group a lot time ago, and I should have forfeited my position as moderator around that time, but alas -- I have not, and here we are now.

I am not sure how many of the original moderators are still active members of this community, but those who are are free to message me, and they can resume their position as a moderator, possibly even become the owner of this community, as it is really not for me anymore.

To those who want to help the community, and become a moderator to bring it back to life, this post will function as a mod application. All comments are screened so don't worry, no one but me will see your application. You'll have until next monday (July 4) to apply. After that I will send the chosen moderators an email with instructions.

Just realize that experience is a must when you want apply to be the owner, a love for HSJ is merely required for those who want to be moderators.

Oricon 2016 Mid-Year Charts: Hey! Say! JUMP landed in top 10!

Just sharing some news of HSJ's ranking in this year's Oricon 2016 Mid-Year charts:

8. Hey! Say! JUMP - Maji Sunshine: 290, 843

4. Hey! Say! JUMP - Hey! Say! JUMP LIVE TOUR 2015 JUMPing CARnival: 191,775

The AramaJapan link below has translated an interesting bit of HSJ in the Oricon article:
-Hey! Say! JUMP is gaining momentum, getting into the top 10 of the midyear single chart for the first time since 2010’s “Hitomi no Screen”

Since this is HSJ and I think all of us fans will be interested, I'll translate the full mention of HSJ:
Hey! Say! JUMP landing 8th place with Maji Sunshine can be considered quite a major topic. With their last top 10 entry in the mid-year charts being 6 years ago, in 2010 with Hitomi no Screen, even with Johnny's Entertainment debuting new groups or units year after year, HSJ who are celebrating their 10th anniversary next year and having the power to maintain their popularity is not normal or easy.

Nikkei Entertainment Talent Power Ranking

Ok, seeing how my last post on HSJ's ranks in Oricon charts getting such a positive response, I'll share one other news that was released ~2 months back.

Every year, Nikkei Entertainment releases a scatterplot, where they identify celebrities (actor/actresses, sportsman, singers, idols, etc.) and their relative popularity in terms of public recognition/awareness and public interest.
Johnny's groups generally scale pretty well on the public interest axis. The biggest difference between JE groups would fall under the public recognition axis, meaning the percentage of the general public actually knowing who they are.
Arashi has always topped the musical act ranking, and has done so for the past 5 years.

I'm going to share the summary of HSJ's rankings in 2015 and 2016, for comparison.



For clearer identification, HSJ has been circled in red, and members names have been circled in blue.
Vertical axis (Y-axis) - Interest
Horizontal axis (X-axis) - Familiarity/Recognition

Circles
Green - Next Break Zone
Orange - Attention Zone
Blue - Current Leader Zone
Purple - Well-Known but Lacking Interest Zone

2015 TALENT POWER RANKING
In 2015, only Yamada, Chinen and Hikaru managed to rank in the scatterplot.




2016 TALENT POWER RANKING
In 2016, there is a huge surge of interest in all the members, and for the first time, all members actually charted in the scatterplot.

As usual, I'll do my top three from the album. Unfortunately, none of them are really deep enough to really warrant a translation so it's just romaji this time >_< Well, maybe I'll do Slow Motion later...

1. Konya anata wo kudokimasu (romaji here)
Leave it to Hika to pull out those onomatopeias to go with an upbeat tone~
Some pretty funny things in there. I put the English words in English spelling so you can see some of them more easily.

2. Mr. Flawless (romaji to come)
My bias is Yabu so of course his unit song makes it. Nothing too special about the lyrics but at least they do a little harmony.

3. Slow Motion (romaji & TL to come)
It's pretty catchy and a little dark. Just my thing!
