If you have any questions about Johnny's or Hey! Say! JUMP in particular, feel free to ask here and any of the members will be able to check in to see if they know the answer to help you out.

However, I would like to point out that checking the tags and the FAQ solves the problem about 90% of the time!! The answers to questions like 'Where can I read their J-web translations?' or 'Where can I download School Kakumei?' are easily found by using the tagging system and just browsing around here a bit. The FAQ handles a variety of things, like how to get tickets for Johnny's concerts, how to send fanletters, and the airing times of the various tv shows featuring JUMP members.

May I remind you that, this is open-member post so any questions that came here can be answered by all members, as long you guys know the actual thing. I'm just posting a thread so we can have a neat and organise website but if I know the answers to your questions, I'm more than happy to reply.

Hence, take a look at the previous masterposts. Maybe your question is already answered there and if not maybe you see a question you know the answer to yourself. It's all about helping each other, right?

In Goo, a Japanese online portal, they asked their readers to vote which is the most beautiful male entertainers.
Guess what?
Yamada and Inoo ranked in the top 20!

[NEWS] Yamada Ryosuke Nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role

Sorry I've been really busy lately so I haven't been updating anything.

Anyway, Yamada was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role in the 91st Television Drama Academy Awards.
Too bad, he didn't win :(
But he placed 2nd, which is a great achievement by itself!

Best Actor in a Leading Role
1st: Masato Sakai who played Sanada Yukimura in Sanada Maru
2nd: Yamada Ryosuke who played Takada Yuu in Cain and Abel
3rd: Masahiro Matsuoka [TOKIO] who played Mitazono in Kaseifu no Mitazono

Drama Song Award
3rd: Give Me Love / Hey! Say! JUMP
*The song placed 2nd in viewers' votes but placed 3rd amongst the panel of judges.

It's just too bad they didn't manage to win anything.
In the 90th edition of the awards, Yuto won 2nd place too for Best Actor in a Leading Role while Inoo took 2nd place for Best Supporting Actor.
Time to break the curse in the 92nd awards!

[NEWS] Arioka Daiki in a new horror movie, Kodomo Tsukai (Little Nightmares)!

Daiki will be co-starring alongside Hideaki Takizawa and Kadowaki Mugi in a new horror movie, slated to release mid-June 2017!

Excerpt from source: "The movie which is based on an original script, features Takizawa as a mysterious man who manipulates the spirits of children by entering into their hearts and taking control of their spirits. Three days after the children disappear, they will cause the mysterious deaths of the adults who meet them. Takizawa will have to put on special makeup for this character. Co-stars include Hey! Say! JUMP member Arioka Daiki who plays a news reporter trying to investigate the truth and Kadowaki Mugi who plays his girlfriend and is being manipulated by Takizawa's character."

If I'm not wrong, this is the 2nd highest first day sales for them, highest being Fantastic Time at 154,274 copies.

Day 2: 55,465 copies
Day 3: 23,908 copies
Day 4: 13,761 copies

Note: The current sales is on track to be the highest first week sales ever for HSJ!

[NEWS] Hey! Say! JUMP had their best first week single sales ever with Over The Top!

Hey! Say! JUMP topped the Oricon Weekly Charts with Over The Top, recording their best first week single sales ever!
Their previous best first week single sales is Maji Sunshine, with 266,777 copies.

Translation from Oricon news:
Popular group, Hey! Say! JUMP's 19th single (Over The Top - released February 22nd) sold over 270,000 copies in the first week and landed first on Oricon's weekly charts. The first week sales exceeded 267,000 copies recorded by their 16th single, Maji Sunshine (released May 2016), becoming their best first week sales.

The number of first ranking in a row (Oricon Weekly Charts) from Ultra Music Jump, their debut single (November 2007) to date is 19 times. This keeps them at the 4th place, behind Kinki Kids (37 singles), KAT-TUN (26 singles) and NEWS (21 singles).

The title track of this single is also the opening theme of the TV anime, Time Bokan 24.

Hi guys... to be honest I wasn't sure if I should share this or not.
But after all, Ryutaro is a former member and he shared his thoughts about the scandal and HSJ.
I honestly think all HSJ fans should read it.
I did not translate the article, but am only sharing the link to the interview.

A short excerpt of the interview:
"I was the youngest. People who worked with me, they were all older than me, so there’s a feeling that I always became the youngest. At that time I was loved/spoiled by them, but if I think about it right now, I should’ve paid more attention (to them), something like that, because at that time I went just like that so only regret came to me [now]."

[NEWS] Nakajima Yuto will be appearing in a new drama, Haha ni Naru!

It's not a major role though. A supporting cast, in the drama Haha ni Naru (Becoming a mother) starring Sawajiri Erika, Itutani Yuki and Eiko Koike.
But any appearance is better than none, no?! :D

The new drama is about 3 mothers whose kidnapped children returned aftter 9 years and will depict their struggles with becoming a mother.

Drama will be airing in April, in NTV, every Wednesday from 10pm.

Many groups will be participating in the 2017 Johnny's Athletic Meet, and of course, HSJ is one of them!

Date: 16 April 2017
Venue: Tokyo Dome
Time: 1pm to 7pm
Participating artists: Imai Tsubasa (Tackey & Tsubasa), Nakamaru Yuichi (KAT-TUN), Hey! Say! JUMP, Kis-My-Ft2, Sexy Zone, A.B.C.-Z, Johnny's West, Nakayama Yuma, Johnny's JR, Mr. KING, Prince, HiHi Jet, Tokyo B Shounen, Six TONES, Love-tune, Travis Japan

Tickets will cause 3,500 yen each and application for balloting has already started. Tickets application will close at 22 April, 12pm (JST).

Goes to show HSJ's increasing popularity, year after year!
They sold 79,804 copies of their calendar, ahead of Kisumai (40,030 copies) and Johnny's West (36, 569 copies)!

Some numbers from previous years as reference:
2015.04 - 2016.03 = sold 25.596 copies
2016.04 - 2017.03 = sold 62.946 copies

This is their self-best calendar sales, and they topped Oricon's Goods/Multimedia (Book) Rankings for the week of 20 March.
